It is a hands-free way to play while cooking, driving as a passenger, or hosting a game night where everyone shouts out answers.
Tips for the best experience
- Allow microphone access when your browser asks; the quiz can’t hear you otherwise.
- Play somewhere reasonably quiet and speak clearly after the options are read.
- Prefer tapping? Every question can also be answered on screen.
Frequently asked questions
Which browsers support voice trivia?
Voice answers use your browser’s built-in speech recognition. It works best in Chrome and Edge on desktop and Android, and in Safari on recent iPhones and iPads. If speech recognition is unavailable, you can still tap your answer.
Do you record or store my voice?
No. QuizOxa never receives your audio. Speech-to-text is handled by your browser’s built-in speech recognition (some browsers use their maker’s cloud speech service for this), and the recognized words are only used on your device to check your answer.
How do I answer a question?
After the question is read aloud, say the option letter (“A”, “B”, “C”, “D”), “option B”, or the answer itself. The quiz marks your answer right or wrong instantly; you can also tap an option instead.
